Central Park West is the city’s most architecturally distinguished street.

Unlike the rather uniform buildings that line the city’s other prestige residential boulevards, Central Park West is punctuated by the Century, the Majestic and the Eldorado, fabulous twin-towered apartment buildings, the San Remo, a glorious Neo-Renaissance-style towered apartment building, and the Beresford, the mountainous three-towered palazzo apartment building. The Majestic, San Remo and Beresford replaced hotels of the same names that were erected in the prior building generation around the turn of the century.
