This loud, fun place, known to many as "Bulgarian Bar," offers two full floors of merriment. The crowd is a mix of post-college kids, Eastern Europeans, artsy-types and a random assortment of everyone else. Upbeat and different, it's always a safe bet for an interesting time.

Museum of Chinese in the Americas

Address: 70 Mulberry (Bayard)

Website: www.mocanyc.org/

Located on the second floor of a turn-of-the-century building in the heart of Chinatown, this museum is very difficult to find. There isn't even a sign to aid your plight. Once inside, however, you'll discover a wealth of information on the history of Chinatown and Chinese immigration to New York. They also have a number of rotating exhibits by Asian-American artists.

Yello

Address: 32 Mulberry Street (at Mosco Street)
Phone: 212-964-3410
Website: www.yellobarnyc.com

This place gets an interesting mix of finance folks from Wall Street and hipsters from the Lower East Side. They have karaoke, a comedy night and a big screen television. They also have an Asian-themed menu that is far better than average.
