About NOHO

North Of Houston Street, south of Astor Place, west of The Bowery (or East Village) is commonly known as NoHo. Getting its name the same way as SoHo, North of Houston. NoHo is generally centered around Broadway and its side streets. It has great shopping, but is very touristy. The bridge and tunnels are located very close so traffic can tend to build up, especially on the weekends. NoHo is known for some of the nicest old residential buildings on the side streets.
