This narrow park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the same horticultural architect that developed Central Park. Although far less sprawling than its east side sibling, many folks can't get enough of this narrow strip of tranquility with its breathtaking river views, grassy knolls, huge rock outcroppings, picnic areas and quiet jogging and biking trails. Locals still consider it an undiscovered secret.

Riverside South

Address: Riverside Drive (West 59th to 72nd Street)

Originally known as "Trump City," this massive development, bankrolled by none other than Donald himself, has completely transformed the area. Somewhat similar to Battery Park City in feel, this ultra-sleek Riverside esplanade continues to fetch a mix of heat and kudos from the locals. If nothing else, it's bringing a new park to an area congested with designer strollers.
