Marketing begun in early 2009 for Sessanta, a 301-unit rental apartment building at 229 West 60th Street.

The 27-story building is being developed by Laurence Ginsberg and is adjacent to his Adagio residential condominium project, a 9-story, 41-unit building at 243 West 60th Street.

Marketing begun early last year for Adagio, which was designed by H. Thomas OHara. Andres Escobar designed its interior spaces.

That building has fireplaces and 11-foot ceilings, a garage and an indoor swimming pool overlooking a formal garden a d tennis court.

The Sessanta, which is the Italian word for 60, will also have an indoor pool and overlook the garden and tennis court. It will also have a graage, a fitness room, an on site valet, 24/7doorman, a business center and a media room.

The building will have cold storage for food deliveries and most apartments offer washer/dryer hookups.

Apartments have Walnut floors and Allmilmo kitchens have stainless steel appliances Silestone countertops and Bianco maple cabinetry.

There are some balconies and terraces and the building has a full-floor penthouse.
