"This very elegant, 5-story, landmark building at 72 Poplar Street in Brooklyn Heights was erected in 1912 and designed in Italian Renaissance-style by Beverly King and Harry Walker.

A former police precinct, it was converted by The Daten Group to 14 condominium apartments in 2014. It had bought the former poice precinct house for $7.5 million. It first had hit the market in March, 2011, asking $12 million. Before that happened, the building sold for $9.6 million in 2004 at a city auction to a firm called Regal Investments. The developers planned to turn it into condos with a two-story addition, but the LPC didn't approve their designs, and Regal put the property up for sale." Read Carter's Full Review
