"This 30-story tower was once part of the full-block St. George Hotel complex that was the largest in the city and one of Brooklyn’s major landmarks. It was erected in 1929 and designed by Emery Roth, the architect famous for the San Remo and Beresford apartment buildings on Central Park West, and the Ritz Tower on the northeast corner of 57th Street and Park Avenue.

It has 275 co-operative apartments. The Tower and Grill buildings in the complex were converted to co-ops in 1984." Read Carter's Full Review

"Maintenance is high for the neigbourhood. Working on the exterior of the building again. Gorgeous building. Just renovated the lobby."

"Very high maintenance, hallways need major renovation which won't happen without a big assessment and/or huge maintenance hike. Old building needs a lot of repairs and maintenance - too many negatives."

"Reasonable board. The board requires 20 percent down. They are ok with parents buying with children. They would like to see 6 months reserves at closing. Heart of Brooklyn Heights, no questions about that. Close to transportation: 2/3/4/5/M/R/A/C trains. Very close to the promenade. Very close to Henry Street restaurants and shops."

"Hallways are outdated with peeling wallpaper, original carpet/floors from the 1970s, no AC, low ceilings. It's a turn off from buying in the building and there are no immediate plans to fix them. Maintenance is also high but not going to areas that need it the most (ie the hallways). Also open litigation with tenants in the building."
