Charlotte Ronson shows off her downtown roost; Carly Simon and Colin Cowie sell; Lena Dunham’s first movie set hits the market.

Singer-songwriter Carly Simon recently sold her two-bedroom West Village duplex for near its $2.3 million ask. The cozy co-op at 46 Commerce Street with two fireplaces, wide plank flooring and a renovated “country chef’s kitchen” was first listed at $3.8 million in 2009 (NYPost).

Artists Laurie Simmons and Carroll Dunham, parents of Girls creator Lena Dunham, have put their 3,600 square-foot TriBeCa apartment at 16 Desbrosses Street on the market. The converted condo in a former textile warehouse was the location for the younger Dunham’s award-winning (and first) indie film, Tiny Furniture, which the writer/director/actress shot in 19 days in 2009. The apartment, which includes a duplex studio across the hall as well as private storage, is listed at $6.25 million (CurbedNY).

Celebrity party consultant Colin Cowie is in contract to sell his Chelsea condo in the Emory at 27 West 19th Street. The 3,000 square-foot three-bedroom penthouse duplex, made for entertaining with a private rooftop terrace (with dumbwaiter service from the first floor kitchen), a fully-stocked wet bar and a fireplace, was listed at $5.75 million (NYPost).

Jason Kidd, head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, is reportedly on the hunt for a NYC home. The NBA All-Star has reportedly shown interest in the newly-minted Charles apartments at 1355 First Avenue, where he checked out at several units in the $5-10 million range. The condominium building offers full-floor residences with private elevator landings and interior design by David Collins Studio (NYPost).

It girl Charlotte Ronson recently offered WSJ readers a tour of her stylish rental pad in the Silk Building at 14 East 4th Street. The young fashion designer-about-town and rock royal (her stepdad is Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones) has put considerable effort into decorating the 1,200 square foot one-bedroom loft apartment (comparable units in the building generally go for around $6,500 a month), which spans two stories and overlooks the bustling streets of NoHo with its trendy fitness centers, restaurants and cafes (WSJ).
