Overview

This 13-story residential condominium building at 75 Smith Street at the southeast corner of State Street in Downtown Brooklyn was developed by Shaya Boymelgreen.

It has 50 apartments and was designed by Emily Lin of Lin Associates. Interiors were done by Nick Dine.

The building, which is known as The Smith, has 9-foot-4-inch ceilings and 4-inch-wide plant Tauari Brazilian wood floors. Kitchens have Bendheim etched glass and brushed aluminum laminate cabinetry and Okite Bianco countertops with white ceramic tile backsplash.

Baths have Kohler bathtubs and custom Corian vanities designed by Nick Dine.

The building, which is also known as 293-301 Atlantic Avenue and 282-6 State Street, has 8 duplex penthouse apartments. The lower floors are a hotel.

The building, which was completed in 2008 and has a setback at the next to top floor, has a concierge, attended parking and bicycle storage. It is across the street from the Brooklyn House of Detention.
