The building has an attractive polished grey-granite surround around its canopied entrance but a rather unattractive red-brick facade.

The building has a doorman, a small lobby, some terraces, large windows and permits protruding air-conditioners.

Carl Schurz Park is at the other end of this attractive and quiet block and several fine private schools are in the neighborhood. There is excellent crosstown bus service, but the express subway station at Lexington Avenue is quite far away.
