Carter Horsley's Review of The Cambridge House

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"This 20-story apartment building was erected in 1959 and converted to a cooperative in 1981. Located on a very pleasant street that has many attractive restaurants, the white-brick structure has 137 apartments. An express subway station is around the corner and cross-town buses run on 14th Street. The neighborhood has several large supermarkets and famous gourmet food stores nearby and PS 41, one of the city's best public schools, is on 11th Street and the Avenue of the Americas. This doorman building has a pleasant lobby. The building has no balconies, but the top of the building has some setback terraces and angled corner windows. Although St. Vincent's Hospital is one block south on Seventh Avenue, the area is relatively quiet and convenient not only to the West Village but also Chelsea." Read Carter's Full Review
