Carter Horsley's Review of The Sheridan

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"Built in 1950, this large midblock building has an excellent location close to Washington Square Park, New York University and Cooper Union, and public transportation. The 13-story building, which extends through to Eighth Street where it has retail frontage, was converted to a cooperative in 1986. It has 149 apartments. The white-brick building has many balconies and extensive gardens and an impressive entrance and lobby on Ninth Street, which is dramatically quiet in comparison with Eighth Street. In addition to two different subway lines nearby, Ninth Street is a westward cross-town bus route and northbound Madison Avenue buses come down the street and turn north at University Place. The neighborhood abounds in restaurants, boutiques, antique stores and many enterprises catering to the large student population of the area." Read Carter's Full Review
