The mid-block building, which has a two-story limestone base, a nice cornice and sidewalk landscaping, is across 79P Street from a handsome, three-story public library. The doorman building three stringcourses and permits protruding air-conditioners. It has no garage and no health club.

This section of the Upper East Side is quite lively with many restaurants and excellent neighborhood shopping nearby. There are also numerous schools and religious and cultural institutions in the vicinity. There is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street and a subway station is nearby at Lexington Avenue and 77th Street.
