The building is directly across from St. Catherine’s Park, which occupies the full avenue blockfront between 67th and 68th Streets, thereby affording this building very open views to the south. The park is across the avenue from the red-brick Arnold and Marie Schwartz International Hall of Science for Cancer Research, which is one block up from two churches on the avenue. This building is directly across the avenue from a tenement building at 400 East 69th Street that has been enlivened with a bright pink two-story rooftop addition.

This building, which has three exposed rooftop watertanks, has a canopied entrance with a doorman and its avenue corner is angled with windows above the first floor. It has discrete air-conditioners and balconies, but no health club, no sidewalk landscaping and no garage.

There is good cross-town bus service on 67th Street, but the nearest subway is at Lexington Avenue.
