The Promenade, 530 East 76th Street

Condo located in Lenox Hill, between York Avenue & FDR Drive

Description of The Promenade at 530 East 76th Street

The Promenade at 530 East 76th Street is a 38-story, 266-unit full-service condominium that is distinguished by its spectacular views and amenities.

Apartments are supremely quiet, with floor-to-ceiling windows on the river and private balconies. Residences are expansive, with extra-large living rooms for entertaining, spectacular duplex penthouses with double-height ceilings, and curved balconies with unobstructed river views.

Built in 1987, many of the apartments have been renovated to upgrade the appliances and finishes. There are herringbone-patterned oak floors, large galleries, and walk-in closets. Striking bathrooms, sheathed with a creamy striated marble, are designed for relaxation with Jacuzzi tubs and separate shower stalls.

The Promenade has a 24-hour doorman, concierge, garage, live-in super, and porters/handymen. There is a health club with spa services, an outdoor jogging track, and a fitness center and heated indoor pool with a river view. The building has a wrap-around roof terrace, a conference room, a party room, a children's playroom, a billiard room, a bicycle and storage room and a garage. Maid and dry cleaning services are available, and common charges even cover your cable TV.

The building is steps away from John Jay Park and several blocks away from the Second Avenue subway line.

Carter Horsley's Review of The Promenade

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"One of the luxurious high-rise towers that sprouted near the East River in the wake of Sotheby's surprising move from Madison Avenue to 72nd Street and York Avenue, the Promenade is a good-looking, dark-glass-gray-brick monolith.

Designed by Costas Kondylis of Philip Birnbaum & Associates for Jeffrey, Reuben and Daniel Glick, the large, 38-story condominium benefits from its location a few blocks above those clustered around Sotheby's by having more open vistas. It and the other nearby competing East River towers such as the Belaire on 72nd Street are impressive additions to the neighborhood." Read Carter's Full Review
