About 300 East 79th Street
This 18-story residential condominium building was developed in 2007 by 1510 Second Avenue LLC of which Meyer Chetrit was a principal.
The 40-unit building was designed by H. Thomas O'Hara. His other projects include Sutton 57, the Aurora and the Chartwell House at 1760 Second Avenue. He is also for Jonis Realty's condo apartment building at 45 East 29th Street and the Verde Chelsea at 125th West 22nd Street.
There is one apartment on the second floor, and four on the third floor and three on floors four through 12 and two apartments on floors 13 and 14 and floors 15 through 18 have one apartment each.
The site was formerly occupied by two low-rise mid-block buildings on the avenue and a low-rise structure at the corner occupied by North Fork Bank.
The building has a 24-hour doorman, an amenity "suite" on its second floor with a fitness center, a children's playroom and an entertainment lounge with kitchen and terrace with an outdoor fireplace. The buidling has a bicycle room and private storage space as well as a resident manager and Procierge concierge service.
Apartments have Sub-Zero refrigerators and wine coolers, Wolf ranges and Bosch dishwashers.
