To look at the glittering, Jenga tower-like structure of 56 Leonard Street is to already see a work of art. The design by Pritzker Prize laureates Herzog & de Meuron was achieved by floors being offset from the floors above and below, creating a dramatic addition to the downtown skyline.

As an encore, another landmark will be incorporated into the ground floor later this summer/early fall. Acclaimed artist Anish Kapoor, the creator of Chicago's iconic Cloud Gate, will bring his first permanent New York work to the base of the building. Images and a video on Mr. Kapoor’s website coneys the inspiration for the mirrored bean-shaped sculpture. As we anticipate the sculpture's installation, we look in on additional eye-catching features of 56 Leonard Street.
