It seems several condos and large rental projects are planned or popping up along South Brooklyn's Ocean Avenue, particularly in Sheepshead Bay, Midwood, and a small, little-known neighborhood between those two called Madison. Adding to the new inventory is a luxury 49-unit project at 2226 Ocean Avenue, which will rise just two blocks up from the planned 2442 Ocean Avenue and the now-selling Tresor at 2443 Ocean Avenue (2 listings from $448,392).

The rendering, which first appeared on Rebusiness Online, reveals an 8-story structure with a dual-colored facade, protruding walls of windows, and a setback at the top which will make way for a common rooftop terrace. Dan Ionescu Architects is behind the design.

In total, the project will contain 44,503 square feet of residential space, meaning units will average around 900 square feet apiece. Condos are likely, especially given its additional amenities, which will include automated parking for 25 vehicles, bike storage, a package room, and two spacious recreation rooms on the first floor.
In March, Rebusiness Online reported that Equicap arranged a $14.6 million construction loan on behalf of 2226 Ocean Avenue's developer, Winchester Equities. The building is expected to be completed by fall of 2019. A Google street view from September of last year shows the two townhouses at the site were demolished.
