Queens Boro Tower Queens Boro Tower
During the months of construction of Queens Boro Tower (41-02 27th Street), it was speculated that the nine-story building would be rentals. However, the 32 units have been revealed to be condos, and sales have just launched at the new Long Island City building. Queens specialist Tan Architect designed the modern tower with light-colored panels, floor-to-ceiling windows, and balconies on every corner.
The balconies and windows will be much appreciated by residents. There are only four units per floor, and all have an in-unit washer/dryer. Kitchens feature marble countertops, breakfast bar, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. Amenities include a virtual doorman and courtyard. Studios start at $715,500; one-bedrooms at $917,500; and two-bedrooms at $1.35 million.

As Long Island City becomes more residential, retailers and restaurants are making their way in to accommodate them. That is the case at Queens Boro Tower; plans call for two retail stores and an outdoor seating area in the base. Until then, it is one block from the Queensboro Plaza subway station, which makes for easy access to Manhattan.
