The Upper East Side is home to surprisingly reasonable rents.

Thanks to the images certain television shows present, some renters think the Upper East Side is too expensive and too exclusive for them. However, CityRealty data shows that this isn't true. The median rent of $3,500/month is high but hardly unmanageable. Better yet, this stretch of New York is also home to rents thought to be unavailable in Manhattan forever. The following listings are above 59th Street and priced below $2,500/month.
