First Look at New Riverdale Residential Building Rising at 640 West 238th Street

In 2015, developer Abraham Strulovitch was approved to begin construction on an 8-story apartment building at 640 West 238th Street in Riverdale. Situated between Independence and Blackstone avenues, the development replaces a two-story, single-family Tudor-styled house.

The foundation has been set and rebar is now poking above street level. The building is being designed by architect Shahriar Afshari and will have 27 apartment units spread across 25,000 square feet of floor area. The building will provide residents with both bicycle and car parking.
