In the heart of the East Village, a parking lot at 327 East 9th Street has been improved with a tasteful residential building dressed in limestone. Designed by the versatile firm of Issac | Stern and developed by Icon Realty, the 7,200-square-foot, 6-floor building holds two large apartments and a garage. The two grand 5-bedroom apartments consist of a triplex and quadruplex. Both units hit the market earlier this fall for a casual $27,500 a month and are now offering one month of free rent on a 12-month lease.
The building is being marketed by Icon Management as “a one-of-a-kind boutique rental building that redefines the townhouse experience.” The listing says, “This brand-new building was designed with a traditional limestone facade that stands as a new classic, elegantly utilizing modern finishes that establish a new contemporary elegance.”

Interiors were honed by Paris Forino, who was in charge of the finishes at 50 Clinton Street and 204 Forsyth Street nearby. They are finished in a light color palette with radiant-heated White Appalachian oak floors and large multipane windows. Christopher Peacock-designed kitchens have Italian Arabescato Marble countertops and backsplashes and baths have Dornbracht fixtures adorned with Zebrino Marble. Both homes have their own sets of outdoor experiences with private balconies overlooking the rear garden on most floors. The lower quadruplex sprawls from the cellar to the third floor and has an expansive ground-floor patio. The triplex on floors 4 through 6, on the other hand, has a private roof deck.

The building has central air, an ADT security system, and a Siedle Virtual Doorman. Positioned on a tree-lined street between First and Second Avenues, 327 East 9th is one avenue from Tompkins Square Park to the east, and Astor Place to the west. Additionally, the building is close to the East Village’s numerous dining, drinking and entertainment offerings.
