In the summer of 2016, we got our first look at 47-09 5th Street, a five-story building designed by Bluarch Architecture coming to the Hunter's Point section of Long Island City.

On upper floors will be a collection of eight two-bedroom, two-bathroom rental residences while the base is reserved for ground floor retail. Leasing has just kicked off for the rental units with prices starting at $3,600/month. Listings note prices are net effective to reflect a concession of two months free rent on a 14-month lease. The new building is only a couple of blocks inland from the lush Gantry Plaza State Park and is among several new condominium and rental buildings, including the 30-story rental across the street at 4705 Center Boulevard.

Amenities include virtual doorman, elevator, bike room, package room, and landscaped roof deck with Manhattan skyline views. 47-09 5th Street is across the street from Duane Reade and Foodcellar Market, two blocks from Gantry Plaza State Park, and surrounded by top restaurants. It is conveniently located between the Long Island City ferry stop and the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway stop for a choice of commute options.
