This very impressive, 15-story, co-operative apartment building at 315 West 106^th Street was designed by Rosario Candela for the Paterno Brothers Corporation in 1926.

It originally had 46 apartments but subsequently some large apartments were divided and there are now 52 apartments.

The building has a two-story stone base with an arched entrance surround and prominent window surrounds on the lower four floors.  

The fourth floor windows have balustrades and pediments.  

There is a decorative balcony in the center of the 10^th floor façade and two on the seventh floor. 

The building has a substantial cornice and three bandcourses.

The building has a full-time doorman, bicycle storage, a laundry and personal storage.  It permits window air-conditioners and has no roof deck, no garage, no fitness center and no entrance canopy.
