The creative thinkers at Galapagos art space and Flavorpill have thought up a higher learning concept that could be just the change you're looking for.

Great ideas need direction, and this networking series for New York City professionals promises to be a great opportunity to sharpen skills, meet new contacts and switch on a few light bulbs. The next session happens on Tuesday, September 22 at Galapagos Art Space in their newest home at 16 Main Street in DUMBO.

The focus will be Socially Responsible Careers, and discussion will focus on getting ahead while giving something back to the community and the planet. Guest speakers from career and social innovation think-tanks like Mediabistro, Global Giving Circle, TED, Supercorp, and Citizen Scholar will be on hand to share their insights. It's a good opportunity to bring your business cards, grow your professional network and leave with some inspiration, and a 2-for-1 happy camper cocktail hour from 6-7 pm will help get the wheels turning. Upcoming in the series: Digital Entrepreneurship (10/6) and Culture and the Contributive Future (10/22).
