Midtown Manhattan is New York City’s–and the country’s–largest business district. But Midtown's residents find that having the best of the city within footsteps--Central Park, shopping, restaurants, theater and transportation–can't be beat. The new-and-improved version of Hell's Kitchen (a.k.a. Clinton) on the west side is home to a new wave of residents, due to the development of several new condo towers. Manhattan's second largest business hub is the Financial District (a.k.a FiDi). It's becoming a first-rate residential neighborhood because of its unparalleled waterfront views, parks, playgrounds, subways and ferries--plus new condo conversions and developments. And recent reports indicate that FiDi is in the midst of a baby boom, with the area south of Canal Street having the highest birth rate in Manhattan.
