I'm Your Private Diner: Top Tastemakers Launch Dining Service

Organizing a private dinner just got easier with a new online booking service.

Joe Bastianich (Babbo, Del Posto, Mozza; TV partner to top chef Mario Batali) and partner Jeff Zalaznick (he's the man behind AlwaysHungryNY) have launched Dine Private, a reservation service for large parties in New York City. Their intent is to provide a way for large parties to book private events at the city's best restaurants online without having to call around or hire an event coordinator. Booking is available 24-7 on their OpenTable-style web site, and you can search for venues based on relevant criteria such as number of people, price, neighborhood, cuisine and desired "experience" (breakfast/ brunch/cocktail, etc).

With early sign-ons that include BLT, Boulud, Craft and Quality Meats, the service gives diners plenty of fine dining options to choose from. Minimum prices for booking range from $320 to $2500 depending on the venue, and you can have up to 100 in your party. Frequent party planners can view their past and present bookings at the site for a speedy repeat performance. Visit the site and book private dining at DinePrivate.com.
