Liberty of London and Target Bring Spring to the City

MARCH 12, 2010

Pretty prints pop up at the Liberty of London For Target shop.

Target, home of well-priced, well-curated fashion collaborations with top designers, is welcoming spring with a touch of London style. Classic British design house Liberty of London is bringing the bloom to the chain store’s racks throughout the nation, but New Yorkers get to have an even more privileged go at the iconic prints.

A pop-up shop, situated next to Bryant Park in midtown, has become a temporary trove of all things Liberty from March 10-13. You’ll find Liberty prints to wear on swimsuits, men’s ties, floral-patterned trench coats (and umbrellas) to ward off April showers and floaty flowered skirts that banish any thought of winter’s chill as well as housewares like pillows, platters and plates—even bicycles get the floral treatment.

Arrive early to find the best blooms—New Yorkers are serious about their shopping. And if you miss this opportunity, you’ll have more. The Liberty for Target line hits stores on Sunday, March 14.
