Notable Neighbors with John Legend, Miranda Kerr and Serena Williams

DECEMBER 30, 2010

John Legend lives well on the Bowery, the family Bloom pulls up New York roots and Serena Williams courts a Manhattan home.

New York magazine invites readers to take a peek inside six-time Grammy winner John Legend’s East Village apartment. The 1,350 square foot, Winka Dubbeldam-designed condo at 52 East 4th Street—with floor-to-ceiling windows that face the lights of downtown Manhattan—was created around the singer’s desire to avoid the “cookie cutter boxes” he’d seen so many times. According to Curbed NY, Legend locked in a deal on the one-bedroom for $1.9 million.

Victoria’s Secret model, January Australian Vogue cover girl and Orlando Bloom’s wife (and soon-to-be-mom of their baby) Miranda Kerr is reportedly about to give up her one-bedroom New York apartment to move to LA where Bloom lives. The apartment, in the 16 West 19th Street Flatiron District building known as Jade, is a corner unit on the tenth floor with an asking price of $1.395 million (via Styleite).

Tennis star Serena Williams is reportedly looking to score a New York City apartment, and has recently been seen looking at 55 Thompson Street and at a three-bedroom, $18,000-a-month apartment with a 1,000-square-foot terrace at the Corner, a rental building at 200 West 72nd Street (NY Post).
