Treats, no tricks, at the mayor’s mansion; Jennifer Aniston’s still looking; David LaChapelle gets West Chelsea fever.

On the Upper East Side, trick-or-treaters who visited Mayor Bloomberg’s home hoping for full-sized candy bars were disappointed—miniatures were the offering of choice, just like everywhere else—but a few visitors did get a glimpse of the mayor as he made a hasty exit to a waiting SUV (NYTimes).

Jennifer Aniston seems determined to stay in celebrity real estate news. After purchasing two West Village condos (maybe they were for her pooch, whose name is listed on the deed, after all), Jen has been seen checking out an $8.7 million, 2,873 square-foot three bedroom condo at 50 Gramercy Park North. Rumor has it that the actress wants to escape the paparazzi-packed West Village. Or maybe she just wants a key to Gramercy Park (NYPost).

Downtown photographer/artist and longtime East Village resident David LaChapelle just became a little more of an uptown guy, if only as far uptown as West Chelsea. The nightlife notable just purchased a condo at 427 West 21st Street for $1,739,500 and had a pair of architects go to work adding hand-carved plaster moldings, heavy wooden doors, marble fireplaces, etched glass, custom cabinetry and window treatments and a host of other bespoke amenities (Curbed).
