Refinery 29 interviews Mrs. Donald Trump (a.k.a. Melania) for her new jewelry line and scores plenty of interior photos of the couple’s gold-dipped Trump Tower topper. The décor is everything you feared it would be—gold mirrors, fountains and frescos --but the city views are stunning.
Notable NYC interior decorating duo Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer–a.k.a. Roman and Williams, the design force behind the Ace and Standard hotels, 211 Elizabeth Street, and the lobby bar at the Royalton as well as the homes of A-listers like Gwyneth Paltrow–are looking for a buyer for their well-situated NoHo loft. The full-floor loft at the slender 25 East 4th Street comes complete with a well-curated collection of curios, collectibles, furniture and other finery done by the designers themselves and is listed for $3.5 million (RealEstalker).
Courtney Love defends her decision to overhaul the decor in the West Village apartment she’s renting, holding that rather than having made it a ruinous mess as has been alleged, her taste is actually better and more buyer-friendly than the owner’s. Love mentions the advice she received from interior decorator Steven Gambrel, and her “astonishing, cool, peculiar shade of blue paint” she applied to the walls at the West 10th Street apartment.
