Notable NYC Neighbors

MAY 3, 2012

A-Rod and David Wright found buyers for their NYC apartments, and Katy Perry made a quick exit.

It didn’t take long for Katy Perry to sell the TriBeCa apartment she briefly shared with ex, Russell Brand. The duplex at 65 North Moore Street was purchased by an undisclosed buyer for just under the ask of $2.75 million (TheRealDeal). In the neighborhood: Tribeca Summit at 415 Greenwich Street, a 10-story condo conversion makes our Top 10 Loft Buildings list.

David Wright’s sexy Infinity Flats bachelor pad in the Flatiron District finally snagged a buyer. The recently re-listed apartment sold for $6.2 million. The Mets third baseman paid $6.1 million for the 4,000 square-foot penthouse at 24 East 21st Street in 2006 and originally had it on the market for $7.25 mil. The decked-out duplex boasts a saltwater aquarium, a pool table, master bedroom windows with automated blackout shades and a media room (CurbedNY).

It was a good week for the home teams: Yankees top hitter Alex Rodriguez also finally sold his 3,585-square-foot full-floor roost on the 35th floor of the Rushmore at 80 Riverside Boulevard. A-Rod kept his pool table but threw in the furniture for a deal that ended up being closer to $7 mil, less than the $8 million ask, but more than than the $5 mil he paid for the apartment a year ago (NYPost).
