David Duchovny hunts, John Madden sells on the Upper West Side; Jellybean bails on Gramercy.

X-Files and Californication star David Duchovny was recently seen investigating an apartment in the classic Eldorado at 300 Central Park West. The unit, a 2,700 square-foot four bedroom “classic seven” with four rooms overlooking the park is listed at $4.27 million (NYPost).

The apartment in the Dakota at 1 West 72nd Street belonging to former NFL coach and commentator John Madden is back on the market for $3.9 million. The two-bedroom co-op, which Madden bought from late comedienne Gilda Radner for $625,000 in 1985, first hit the market last year at $4.9 million (CurbedNY).

Further downtown, producer/DJ Jellybean Benitez and his wife Carolyn (owner of the Union Square Coffee Shop) recently put their Gramercy Park townhouse on the market for $25 million, considerably more than the onetime Madonna paramour paid for it in 1992. The park-front apartment–amid many similar townhouses and classic buildings like Gramercy Towers at 39 Gramercy Park South–consists of an owner’s triplex and two duplexes (CurbedNY).
