Rosie O’Donnell checks out of St. Vincent’s condo; Lady GaGa rents on Central Park; Leo DiCaprio confronts the penthouse vs. townhouse dilemma; Hank Azaria sells lofty SoHo pad.

Star-about-town Leonardo DiCaprio has been spotted peeping properties in the $25 million range, including penthouses in Nolita and SoHo and, most recently, a $30 million white marble facade townhouse at 45 East 74th Street with bronze and leather banisters, a terrace spa and a pool (NYPost).

Lady Gaga recently chose a 1,985-square-foot penthouse at 40 Central Park South to call home along with a diva-esque rent of $22,000 a month. The two-bedroom duplex with a private keyed elevator entrance has been home to Lance Armstrong and Liza Minnelli among other celebrities. The apartment features two wood-burning fireplaces and four terraces overlooking the park (CurbedNY).

Not long after settling in, Rosie O’Donnell appears to be planning to move out of her penthouse apartment in the converted St. Vincent’s hospital loft building at 130 West 12th Street. The comedienne paid $8.09 million for the four-bedroom duplex with interior spaces designed by Cook + Fox, oversized windows facing the Empire State building and a large private terrace just nine months ago; the apartment is now back on the market for $10.95 million (NYO).

The Lincoln Square duplex that was home to the late character actress Celeste Holm has been sold after less than a year on the market. Holm, who is known for her Oscar-nominated roles in “All About Eve” and “Gentleman’s Agreement,” lived in the Brentmore apartment at 88 Central Park West for nearly half a century before her death last summer. The three-bedroom co-op with a corner master suite and park views changed hands for $10.5 million, below its original $13.95 million ask (TRD).

Todd Kenig, co-founder of Ricky’s Halloween costume and beauty supply mecca has found a home as eccentric as his business. The quirky cosmetics king recently purchased the “medieval castle” co-op in the Harmony at 61 West 62nd Street. The spacious four-bedroom co-op, which sold for $3.85 million–it was originally asking $6 million–features interior decor that has been described a being “church-like,” with “low ceilings and expansive glass windows” (CurbedNY).

Theodore Spencer, grandson of the late John D. Rockefeller III and an heir to the Rockefeller fortune, and his wife, Tracy, recently purchased a $15 million apartment at 40 Fifth Avenue, a classic 1929 co-op building. The sprawling 12th floor Village apartment is comprised of a former “classic seven” and a two-bedroom unit. Chipotle creator Steve Ells bought an apartment in the same building for $11 million in 2009 (NYO).

Well-known Simpsons and Smurfs voice actor Hank Azaria has finally sold his SoHo co-op for $8 million. Azaria bought the loft apartment at 84 Mercer Street from photographer/director Cindy Sherman for $4.6 million in 2005 and was renting it out for $16,000 a month for the last two years. The fifth-floor apartment features a 44-foot atrium and a glass wall with french doors that open onto an impressive 700-square-foot main room with cast-iron pillars and exposed wood beams (NYO).
