Saudi royalty rents Chris Meloni’s pad; Vera Wang buys One Madison penthouse; a new book reveals well-known, well-heeled residents at 15 CPW.

After several unsuccessful attempts to sell his apartment at the Park Imperial at 230 West 56th Street (the ask was $12 million), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Chris Meloni is renting his 3,000-square-foot, three-bedroom home to a Saudi prince. The 60th-floor apartment with views of Central Park will be bringing in $55k a month. Neighbors in the high-profile building have included P. Diddy, Deepak Chopra and Daniel Craig (CurbedNY).

Designer Vera Wang recently viewed a $50 million penthouse at One Madison at 23 East 22nd Street. The 6,850-square-foot triplex has a private elevator within the apartment and a 586-square-foot wraparound terrace. Wang has been on a high-end real estate buying spree of late: The wedding dress queen recently bought an apartment at 740 Park Avenue from her late father’s estate for $23 million (NYPost).

Hollywood power player Mike Ovitz recently sold his condo in Metropolitan Tower at 146 West 57th Street for $4.05 million (slightly over its $3.99 million ask). The Creative Artists Agency head bought the three-bedroom pied-a-terre for $598k in 1996. The 2,124-square-foot apartment boasts 20 windows with panoramic views of the city skyline, Central Park and the Hudson River (NYO).

Footwear knockoff royalty Steve Madden recently purchased a Trump Palace pad fit for a (shoe) king. The $15 million 4,000-square-foot condo at 200 East 69th Street offers four bedrooms and iconic city views (TRD).

A new book chronicles the high-profile residents of one of Manhattan’s most coveted addresses, 15 Central Park West. House of Outrageous Fortune: 15 Central Park West, the World's Most Powerful Address, written by real estate author Michael Gross, tells of the billion-dollar Zeckendorf development’s roster of notable residents including celebrities, Wall Street heavyweights, foreign moguls and big-ticket tech execs (CurbedNY).
