Cool retail details mean more reasons to play the Ace.

Fashion-forward clothing emporium, concept gallery and showroom Opening Ceremony has branched out from the store’s Howard Street flagship of international cutting-edge style to compliment the shaggy-chic vibe of the Ace Hotel. The store’s newest progeny popped up at the Ace in February to add an artfully-curated assortment of gifts and travel accessories to the hip hotel’s winning mix.

The 1,500 square-foot space is stacked with Haribo snacks, Walker’s English crisps, international and domestic magazines, McSweeney’s books, European toiletries, Kiehl’s travel sets and Criterion Collection DVDs in addition to the Opening Ceremony seasonal clothing collection. An A-list of avant-garde design names like Proenza Schouler, Band of Outsiders, Alexander Wang, Maison Martin Margiela and Phillip Lim have created items exclusively for the new shop. For true tip-to-toe style, over-the-top Minx manicures by manicure marvel Tracylee Percival every Saturday afternoon add even more spice to the new hotel’s hotness.
