Get your body–or your creativity–into fighting shape with intensive summer training sessions.

Don’t let the pastoral setting of Central Park fool you. This kickboxing boot camp will burn calories and get you into shape better than the tired gym workout you’ve been avoiding. Fitness Fight Camp brings a fresh new angle to personal fitness. The group’s trainers set up camp in the park three times a week throughout the summer and offer innovative, dynamic, and fast-paced workouts. No previous martial arts experience is necessary, and the first class is free. Session prices vary from $100 to $180 for a week’s worth.

Get Race Ready is a Crunch gym-run series of outdoor training sessions designed to help you get fleet-footed and fit for that upcoming run. The summer sessions are free and open to the public and designed for all fitness levels.

If you’d rather address your muse than your muscles, 3rd Ward’s Art Bootcamp is offering a special 2-week program in August, featuring the art center’s most popular classes. Each 5-hour class is $100 for non-members and $80 for members (or take on the whole 8-class Bootcamp Experience for $600).
