Surface to Air: Hipster Chic with a French Twist

French creative-cool label Surface to Air just opened their New York flagship store in SoHo.
Known for rumpled-preppy menswear—including a few impressive vintage-y leather and suede jackets and just-right shoes and boots—French clothing label Surface to Air is one of those names that frequently appears in expensive, “alternative” fashion magazines but is hard to find anywhere else but online. Any woman with a thing for shoes has experienced the same frustration over their covetable bombshell-basic footwear. Now that the Surface to Air New York flagship at 27 Mercer Street has opened its doors, shoppers (of both genders) on our shores can take their paws off the trackpad and their feet to the store, where they’ll find their formerly hard-to-find favorites.
