DUMBO Art under the Bridge Festival
Presented by the DUMBO arts center, this yearly event has over 60 new artworks, video and performance from this waterfront arts community. This year's highlights will include political speech karaoke and other special events during Friday night's opening festivities.

The 46th Annual New York Film Festival
This star of the international festival circuit is one you don't want to miss. Highlights include the first chance to catch Clint Eastwood's newest offering, 28 films from 18 countries and panels and dialogues covering everything from the avant-garde to the state of film criticism.

Campfire on the Canal
Welcome fall with an afternoon at the Yard by the ol' Gowanus canal with chef-made BBQ, fireside comedy from the Upright Citzens Brigade, an acoustic set by singer songwriter José González and free beer. The laid-back revelry happens in honor of New York magazine's 40th, so you get a free subscription with your ticket as well.
