On Sunday, June 21, New York City turns into one giant outdoor concert when, in synch with similar festivals throughout the world, 850 live bands and artists assemble in spots like Governor's Island, Central Park, Cooper Square and stoops, sidewalks, streets and plazas city-wide to play free sets of everything from jazz to opera to electronic and indie rock from 10 in the morning to 11 at night.
