The Museum of the City of New York invites visitors to explore the city from the 1940s to the 1960s in this retrospective of Look magazine photography from their extraordinary collection.

Velvet Underground at the New York Public Library
Check out the Velvet Underground in their semi-original state (Lou Reed, Maureen ‘Moe’ Tucker, Doug Yule & David Fricke) at the New York Public Library, where the classic art-rockers will appear together (something they haven’t done in years) to discuss their history as part of the library’s “Live from the NYPL” series and in support of a new art book of which they’re the subject.
