Earth Day Yoga Party/Class at the Standard
The High Line Room at The Standard will be the setting for a special yoga class led by Virayoga founder Elena Brower, followed by a private Earth Day celebration. All proceeds will be going to Earth Day NY.

The Author in the Age of the Internet
What effect has the rise of the internet as a publishing medium had on authors? Is it changing the way they write? How will we identify classics and the writers who create them? In a panel discusssion, John Lanchester, Andrew O’Hagan, Colm Tóibín, Mary-Kay Wilmers and James Wood discuss these and other related topics in context of their own involvement in the craft of writing.

World Record Appreciation Society at Joe’s Pub
The World Record Appreciation Society astounds and entertains with eclectic performers setting unique world records. Hosted by the Universal Record Database (URDB.org), world records set at previous events have ranged from ‘Most Cocktail Umbrellas Fit In Hair In One Minute’ and others.
