Carter Horsley's Review of 425 West End Avenue

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"Most buildings that have had their cornices removed look like they have been stripped bare and appear forever forlorn as a result.

This building is such a victim, but its very strong massing that features a large rounded comer, mitigates considerably the loss of the cornice, whose plain, light-colored, flat replacement is only slightly better than that on 515 West End Avenue. Both cornices should be replaced to significantly improve not only their own property values but also those of the neighborhood." Read Carter's Full Review
