A space for unusual performance and stage works, this off-off-Broadway theater was founded in 1995 as a theater, rehearsal and gallery space for the artistic community as well as a support network for the 15 founding members/administrators.

All their productions tend to veer on the experimental, non-commercial side of the spectrum.

The primary venue for the recently announced Tribeca Theater Festival, this center comes bankrolled by Robert De Niro, a local resident. The festival features a series of cutting-edge plays, readings and panel discussions. They also run a number of specially-commissioned one-act plays.
