Evans Tower CLOSE
At first glance, this 36-story building appears like just another minimalist white-brick tower. Yet its massing and plan are very finely accomplished here, creating a good plaza at the corner in an area that needs such relief and its cross axis opens up more views for the residents while also making the large building a bit less massive. Developed by Louis Evangelista and Legent Realty Company, the building contains 220 condominium apartments and opened in early 1986 in a neighborhood that has become quite lively with a good mix of restaurants and neighborhood stores. It was designed by Philip Birnbaum & Associates and has a health club, pool, sundeck, concierge, garage and concierge.
