"This handsome 8-story building at 9 Barrow Street at Seventh Avenue South in the West Village was erected in stages starting in 1897.  It was completed in 1911 and has 86 co-operative units.  

The landmark designation for the Greenwich Village Historic District noted that "this dignified eight-story loft building (also Nos. 186-192 West Fourth Street) with stores at the ground floor, tells a story of successive enlargements between the year 1897 and 1911, as it was built progressively for Halloran family." " Read Carter's Full Review
