Hayden, 43-25 Hunter Street

No fee rental located in Long Island City

Description of Hayden at 43-25 Hunter Street

The Hayden is one of the best-positioned and amenity-rich rental buildings not just in Queens, but in all of New York City. The 50-story building stands in the center of booming Long Island City across from the Court Square station of the E, G, M, and 7 trains, which put Midtown within a five-minute commute. The skyscraper offers sweeping panoramas of the Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn skylines from balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows, which are triple-paned for noise insulation. The Hayden’s slanted pinnacle adds an iconic gesture to the skyline during both day and night, thanks to its dramatic illumination.

Apartments feature hardwood floors, granite countertops and Frigidaire stainless appliances in kitchens, in-unit Bosch washers and dryers, and fixtures by Grohe in the bathrooms. A 30,000-square-foot amenity package offers an attended lobby, valet services, a two-story fitness center, a full-size basketball court, a dog washing station, an on-site garage, bike parking, and more. Multiple resident lounges are scattered throughout the building, some for quiet work or study and others for lively socializing, with several elevated high above the city. A courtyard garden and several roof decks offer sun lounging, lawns, grilling stations, and an outdoor screening theater. A series of plazas and parks next to and across from the building offer supplementary park space.

As part of the project, Rockrose Development preserved and refurbished several pre-war townhouses on Jackson Avenue next to the building, where they introduced Book Culture LIC, the neighborhood’s primary bookstore, as well as dineries such as Famous Foods, Levante, and Partners Coffee. The M. Wells Steakhouse is located half a block away, and several other restaurants and bars are also situated nearby. The Hunters Point Waterfront sits a short walk away and offers ample park space, playgrounds, and the iconic Hunters Point Library, as well as ferry access to 34th Street in Midtown. A fifteen-minute subway ride takes residents to dining and nightlife in vibrant neighborhoods such as Greenpoint, Sunnyside, and Astoria.

Carter Horsley's Review of Hayden

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"When this very handsome project, which is known as Hayden, at 43-25 Hunter Street near Court Square in Long Island City was first announced in 2013 by Rockrose Development, it was planned as the tallest building in Queens.

When it was topped out in May, 2016 at 51 stories and 535 feet high, Rockrose had planned a taller rental tower at 43-22 Queens Street that will rise 598 feet and be known as the Eagle Electric Factory development." Read Carter's Full Review
