It was reported today that the Williams Savings Bank Tower in Brooklyn is being converted to approximately 216 condos. The landmark tower will keep most of its historic exterior fa?ade, including the clock that can been seen from miles away. In addition, the interior vaults will remain, possibly as some sort of retail component.

The converter is a joint venture of local Dermot Companies and Los Angeles based Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds LP, of which Magic Johnson is a partner.

It is expected that the units will range from studios to three bedrooms, though starting prices have yet to be released. Completion is scheduled for the summer of 2005.
