Where to find the best sports courts in NYC rental buildings
On March 17, 2022, the first round of the men’s basketball tournament, better known as March Madness, kicked off. Last year’s tournament took place without bands, cheer squads, or anywhere near the typical number of spectators; it also took place with strict health and safety protocols for the athletes. This year promises to bring back the typical, super-charged atmosphere.
This year is also expected to bring changes for the better for the women’s tournament. After a video showing the dramatic disparity between the men’s and women’s training facilities went viral, the N.C.A.A. commissioned an external gender equity review. Now the women’s tournament can be branded with March Madness just as the men’s has, and the apps for the two tournaments will be compatible. Additionally, the men’s and women’s teams are set to receive the same swag bags upon arrival.
