Exactly one year ago, developer New Empire Corp. revealed the first rendering of its new seven-story building at 424 West 52nd Street. While its 66-foot height was congruous with its neighbors on either side and the brick trim nods to the local architecture, it nevertheless stands out for its massive glass windows. At the moment, newly released interior renderings and an accepted offering plan hint at an impending sales launch.

According to the renderings, all seven full-floor apartments will feature high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and hardwood floors. Kitchens show sleek cabinetry, integrated appliances, and large center islands. Baths are expected to have floating vanities and large soaking tubs. The building will be topped with an open roof terrace, and the axiomatic diagram shows a rear yard.
An offering plan with a $16.05 million sellout was accepted earlier this spring, bringing the estimated apartment price to $2.29 million. According to CityRealty data, this is just above the Midtown West median price of $2 million for similarly-sized condos. It is taking shape in a bustling part of Hell's Kitchen that is also welcoming condominiums like Charlie West, Hudson Garden, and Inkwell. On the rental side, Oskar and Gotham West have made quite an impression.
